This Volunteer Liability Policy applies to all individuals participating in volunteer activities at, for, or on behalf of Square Dance Farms LLC. By submitting a volunteer application, waiver, or any related form, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms for yourself and, if applicable, for members of your family.

• Volunteer Status
  You understand and agree that your participation is strictly voluntary and at-will. Your participation does not create an employer-employee relationship, does not entitle you to wages, benefits, workers’ compensation, or insurance coverage, and does not guarantee future participation opportunities.
• Compliance with Rules and Instructions
  You agree to observe and follow all posted rules, safety guidelines, warnings, and any verbal or written instructions provided by Square Dance Farms staff, agents, or supervisors. Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from volunteer activities.
• Age Restrictions and Supervision
  If you are volunteering with minors, you acknowledge that volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Volunteers aged 17 and younger are prohibited from operating or using power tools, heavy equipment, or machinery, including but not limited to tractors, lawn mowers, chainsaws, or other motorized or hazardous equipment. As a supervising adult, you accept full responsibility for ensuring compliance with these restrictions.
• Assumption of Risk
  You understand that volunteering on a working farm involves inherent risks, including but not limited to unpredictable animal behavior, uneven terrain, physical labor, use of tools, weather exposure, and interaction with other volunteers or third parties. You voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, foreseeable and unforeseeable, associated with your participation and the participation of any minors under your supervision.
• Release of Liability
  To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, and discharge Square Dance Farms LLC, its owners, members, managers, affiliates, landowners, agents, volunteers, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, or causes of action arising from injury, illness, loss, or damage related to participation in volunteer activities, whether occurring on or off the premises and whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
• Indemnification
  You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Square Dance Farms LLC from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or related to your actions or the actions of any minor or family member under your supervision, including negligent, reckless, or intentional conduct.
• Parental or Guardian Consent
  If you are the parent or legal guardian of a participating minor, you represent that you have full legal authority to consent on their behalf. You consent to their participation in farm activities, including interaction with animals and farm equipment under permitted conditions, and you agree to all terms of this policy on their behalf.
• Lifting and Physical Activity
  You understand that volunteer activities may involve lifting items weighing more than 25 pounds and performing physical tasks. You affirm that you are physically capable of participating or will notify the volunteer coordinator of any limitations prior to engaging in such activities.
• Medical Treatment Authorization
  In the event of injury or medical emergency involving you or a minor under your supervision, you authorize Square Dance Farms to obtain or arrange necessary medical treatment. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for all medical costs incurred and authorize transportation to the nearest medical facility if deemed necessary.
• Photography and Media Consent
  You acknowledge that photographs or video recordings may be taken during volunteer activities. You grant permission for Square Dance Farms to use such images for lawful purposes, including promotional and educational use. You may take personal photographs but may not use images of the farm, activities, or participants for commercial purposes without written permission.
• Governing Law
  This agreement is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Acknowledgment and Acceptance
By submitting a volunteer application, waiver, or related form, you confirm that you have read this policy in its entirety, understand its contents, and voluntarily agree to be legally bound by its terms. Submission of any related form constitutes valid and enforceable proof of your acceptance without the need for additional signatures.
